Perhaps NT1/2 would be the better ones to have as limited stops - after all,
if NT25/26 was limited stops, you would have to catch one of the overnight
trains - and who wants to get somewhere at some god-foresaken hour?

Yes, the 0600 (0500 during NSW Summer Time) is not satisfactory - however,
there is always the daylight service.

The sleepers were introduced as a political measure.

The power cars would not handle it - you would need to have an extra power
car somewhere in the consist, and it wouldn't work.
