The main problem is that you have to allow an extra 60 minutes in
Brisbane to provide for Daylight Saving times.   You foreigners won't
change your clocks to the Southerners' times.  There were to be two
XPT services to Brisbane each day, until some politicians had
Murwillumbah got rather touchy, several years ago.

Perhaps we could talk NRR into running a connecting service between
Casino & Murwillumbah, subsidised the same way Countrylink is, and
this would allow the second XPT to be diverted.   But what rolling
stock would NRR use???
