Sounds like the Southern Aurora of past times. It even skipped Junee
and the Goulburn loco crew went to Albury. 

You still have the problem the Southern Aurora faced; the all stations
local trains in Sydney and Melbourne. Still it is worth a try,
especially if the private owners are game enough to legally force the
track authority to give them a clear track. I assume the track
authority charges the train owners big bucks so in return the train
should be given a fast timetable slot through the commuter traffic.
