Coolangatta Airport is not in Coolangatta it is in Bilinga and Coboki
straddling the Qld/NSW border and if the plans that have been in the local
papers are right then the rail line will come from Tugun into NSW then finish
up near the Airport Terminal after swinging around the end of the airport
which incidentally is being renamed the Gold Coast airport if it hasn't
already been done. This would place the Station in Bilinga and closer to Tweed
Heads West than Coolangatta

I doubt that because the structure to cross Terranora Creek would be quite a
large bridge ( and it is in NSW ) and if they crossed that then they might
as well cross the Tweed River as well. Then what's to stop a dual gauge line
to Mobal this could have been done with a bit of planing where it could be
associated with the Bolingar Range Pacific Hwy Bypass a
