Re: Bradfield's Electric City Railway



Sorry to disappoint you guys, but the railways in Dr Bradfield's time were
under a lot more pressure to make money that they are now.

If you think that todays suburban system is under pressure to make money
then you are wrong. They may be rightly under pressure to run more
efficiently but 2/3 rds of the operating budget of the SRA is made up of
the CSO and the present Government at least is committed to continuing this
and if fact expanding the total CSO as the system itself is expanded as per
their recent announcements.
