Rod what concerns me is the fact that Patrics probably paid the
offroad non road taxed price for this fuel as you at V/line
and me at National rail know we pay top dollar for our fuel
as well as including the road excise .
i would consider that if Patrics bought the fuel for their equipment
it would be road tax exempt.
We are supposed to be on a level playing field but if patrics can fuel
two CLP'S for just over 50% of the price that we can fuel our loco's
then the field is heavily tilted in Patrics favour.
So i feel that this need's investigation i have no problem with it so
long as the exise has been payed.

PS Idont think it is fair at all that rail should subsadise the damage
that overloaded and speeding semitrailers and B doubles cause.

PPS these are my thoughts and not those of my employer!!!
regards Paul Johnston loco driver National
Rail.
