Kuranda tourist train

Has anyone ridden the Kuranda (Queensland, Australia) tourist train
lately? What is the best side of the carriage to ride? Is it worth doing
the round trip on the skyway? Should one go up or down in the train. Is
up the hill the same as the up direction? Thanks.
