I understand that the NSWGR began resleepering from the Dorrigo end and
only got about half way before the line was closed in 1972. So half the
line would have already had life expired sleepers by 1982. These would
now be getting close to 45 years old, if they hadn't already been eaten
by termites. 

When is the last time the line was inspected? What condition are the
sleepers and rails now in through the relatively open farm land between
Dorrigo and Megan, or better still through the thick forest towards
Cascade and Briggsvale?
