The equestrian venue isn't at Olympic Park as was suggested in this thread.
Your idea was correct - catch a bus from Blacktown station. Most of the
Special Event Clearways (I'm not sure of the US term for it) are not in
operation in that area so more traffic will be on the road. If you do want
to see other events to Olympic Park, trains run regularly from Parramatta.

btw, gunzel is a term for railfan. OP is indeed Olympic Park but can stand
for Off Peak.
