If we are talking here about FAs log traffic from Hume to Pt kembla
,its currently 2 trains per week ,(I would hardly call that large
amounts) ,and the line was never closed .
There is no doubt that some private operators will claim back some of
roads share , but its tiny .
On the eastern coast road has 80% of the total market with rail having
20% and its been that way for the last 25 years.
The creation of NRC was supposed to change all this ,but nothing
happened.

MD
