SteamRanger in steam [was Re: NSW steam loco boilers]



I'm not sure what SteamRanger's record for locos in steam at once... I was
just old enough to remember the last run of a Mikado class loco in 1967 or
'68, 526 being scrapped )-:... and was on the initial run to Sandy Creek by
520 in 1972 after its restoration (-:, and the odd trips behind 621, Rx 207
and Rx 224 (and one trip with K160). The F class tank engine was a late
addition to SteamRanger, and I don't think that all five have been in steam
at once.

What was the last SAR steam loco in operation (ie not being maintained by
ARHS(SA Div))?
