I'm a bit out of date on this subject.

Last time I tuned in, about 15 years ago, there weren't any members. The
Dorrigo (formerly Hunter Valley) Steam Railway and Museum was a private
business with a single owner.

What's this rubbish about "members money"? As I recall the past, the
private Dorrigo (formerly Hunter Valley) Steam Railway and Museum held out
to the public (including gunzels) a line like "give me money and I will
spend it buying trains!". A lengthy court case found that indeed people had
given money and it was (and still is) spent buying trains.

Do more informed posters on this thread claim that the Holdens are not
trains? Or have I missed something else?

Btw, are the Holdens safely covered in black oil so that they can return to
service in the next century or so?
