Re: [NSW] AC traction motors for Tangara's?



I must see for myself when I go back to HK at the end of this year for the chopper motors! The first
generation MTR cars were manufactured by Metro Cammell of England. The overhaul included bascially
rebuilding the front of the trains, painting the handrails red, and route maps that include lights
that tell you the stations that already have been through.

The camshaft controls was very good though and acceleration was very smooth, but am yet to see what
the chopper controls do :-)

and btw, those 1st-G trains were introduced in 1980 with air conditioning. what did WE have in
1980??? damn it S sets!!!! (OK, a K set or two but they were rare!)
