Here's an interesting piece from the May 2000 edition of the ARHS
Bulletin:
"A 4-car Tangara set was fitted with AC traction motors as a trial by
last December. If successful, the whole fleet may be fitted with these
traction motors in lieu of the normal DC motors."
Does anyone know if it when ahead and which set it is?
AFAIK, only "G7" is fitted with AC traction motors.
