If the rail line followed the Pacific Hwy then there would need to be only one
crossing of the Tweed River the only other major water way is the Terranora creek

On the Queensland side between Robina and Coolangatta they have to cross both the
Tallebudgera and Currumbin creeks with the roads that run near or parallel to the
creeks will require quite substantial bridges at both
