Re: [Sydney, Cityrail] Friday 17 March Chaos

You obviously missed the point. Normal services are going to be cancelled,
and the travelling public has not been told. Most people do not know the
event is taking place. The Easter Show is held during school holidays and
the biggest days for attendance are public holidays, when there are plenty
of trains available to run to Olympic Park. I have no doubt about the good
things rail can do - the local station master has been very co-operative
about 460 students from our school boarding a train at 8:38am, and how every
one else will wait. It will be a matter of seeing if they have the same good
humour if they are late for work.

As for the Olympic Games, well everyone knows when they are on and have been
forewarned, unlike what will happen this Friday. Remember, when all the
complaints start, you read it here first. I might also add I am working for
the Olympic Road and Transport Authority during the games.
