The reason for only one loco from Dynon to Spencer Street, is that the loco
run a round in platrform 1 for standard gauge is only big enough for one
loco.

The plan was alway for one loco to bring the train from Dynon to SSS
and the ohter two loco (which was only one after 4490 failed) to follow
afterwards, push the train down to the buffers and then the loco which 
brought the train in to drop onto the front.

(which is what they did, interesting to see the arrangement for the
return working)
