Re: West Coast Railway and 6042 - AD60 Garrett



Doesn't anyone here think that WCR maybe overdoing it a bit? In the not to distant future they will have to
replace most of their rollingstock and locomotives. Most of their carriages were built in the 40's and 50's
while some even date back to 1937! Most of their locos were built in the mid to late fifties. Replacing all
this is going to cost a fair bit, even if they buy second hand equipment. On top of this upcoming expense,
there are now rumors of a tourist service with a rebuilt 60 class operating out of Adelaide! I think they
should just concentrate on developing the Warrnambool passenger service to it's full potential.
