I've flown QF 16 before it's a B747-338 and comes from Rome & Bangkok. Last
time it arrived MEL ontime but the cleaners were a bit slow and boarding did
not commence until 0545 resulting in a 45 min gate hold because we lost our
slot at SYD. Dep from the gate at MEL was 0632 / airborne 0643 with a flight
time of 57 mins touchdown at SYD was at 0740 there then followed a 20 min
wait on the taxiway for our gate to become vacant We finally stopped at the
gate at 0802 (sch 0710) Getting off international flights was easy as there
is a domestic lane for local who just show their drivers licence.
