Or you could go totally extreme.

I have a very good qaulity digital camera that uses memory cards. Good quality
images also mean that they use a lot of memory so you can't fit too many on the
card..

I recently purchased an Iomega Clik! system (the same people who make the Zip
and Jaz drives). It is a portable hard disk drive about the size of a mobile
phone. A digitial camera memory card (it takes both the Flash and Smart cards)
is clicked into the unit and all its images are automatically transferred to the
HD. You can then wipe the card and start shooting again. The HD units are about
the size of a 50c coin (Australian), store 40M and cost about $20 each. When the
HD is full, it can also be replaced.

The Clik! system comes with a charger that also interfaces with a Windows PC.
You can also get a PCMCIA card that connects the Clik! HD unit to a laptop and
Windows-CE handheld computer.

The system is impressive but still more expensive than 35mm film.
