The Xplorer railcar set can be "found" by the following method ...

The two car set from Werris Creek to Moree on Friday afternoon returns to Sydney
"immediately" as an overnight service. This was done when the Xplorers originally
commenced on this route. The set is thus back in Sydney in time to form the down
day service on Saturday, returning as the up regular day service on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the two car set which had arrived on the up day service on Friday (and
which otherwise would have normally formed the Saturday down service), is available
to work to Griffith on Saturday and return on Sunday. On arrival back in Sydney,
and following reconditioning, it forms an overnight service back to Moree, arriving
in time to form the regular up Monday day train.

Moree would loose an up day service on Saturday and a down day service on Sunday, but
would gain a Friday night service to Sydney, returning on Sunday evening - thus
allowing North-West passengers to come to the big smoke for the weekend.
