In fact Ansett is an amalgam of three major airlines Australian National
Airways which was founded by the Holyman family who were in the shipping
industry, Ansett Airways and Airlines of Australia which grew out of the
New England Motor Company in Lismore NSW. So it actually started life as
two bus companies.
