I think that's a bit of an exageration. SQ might like to take over NZ,
but SQ's request for permission to buy 50% of NZ was knocked backed.
The do have permission to acquire 25% of NZ, which they will do.
QF is owned 25% by British Airways, I don't see anyone in this NG
claiming BA has taken over QF.
AN owned 25% of HP at one point. I didn't see AN taking over HP
(Although it would have been a public service).
In the not to distant past QF owned 25% of NZ. They obviously didn't
take it over.
Interestingly enough,this series of events with SQ, Brierly and NZ
was predicted in Aviation Week and Space Technology about 6 weeks ago.
