When Chatswood's local platform was abolished recently, the remaining
platforms were immediately renumbered so there aren't any phantoms. BUT, St
James had 2 (platforms 2-3) for 70 years, and Wynyard still has 2! (I heard
Wynyard was going to have its platforms renumbered, but it ain't happened
yet!) Perhaps this means the original Eastern suburbs line (under Oxford St)
is definitely off, whereas the Warringah railway is still offcially on!
(Anybody know how long a lease the carpark people have at Wynyard!)

Guess it doesn't matter to the users, but curious, nevertheless.
