That was built during WW2 in the days of the Matilda tank (and visiting
American Shermans). The Centurian tanks could be carried by rail, but
the Leopards are too wide.

The M113 armoured personnel carriers are in gauge, but they are
gradually being replaced. Most of the army's sharp end lives in Darwin
and Townsville anyway these days.

Sheman tanks are quite small.
