As of Wednesday the 8th most of, if not all of the earth works have been completed for the loop lengthening.
The new set of points have been constructed using timber sleepers and are beside the line waiting to be cut and welded in to place.
Large numbers of concrete sleepers have been delivered by truck and are stacked beside the line.
The rail was delivered by a GNRS service several weeks ago as indicated by previous posts.
So do GNRS have the contract to drop ballast as they did with the rail,
and are we likely to see 22 or 27 in the North East?
