Terry,

I assure you that we anti JK fans as you put it are in a majority, I guess
the rail gunzel's come back will take some time, we have to open a few
hospital beds, police stations, schools, make ambulances arrive at the right
addresses, (hopefully) restore workers rights to Common Law, the list goes
on.

Rail is on the list, but if you knew anything about the state of public
infrastructure in Victoria after Kennett you would see that rail is only
part of the problem, Kennett set out on a scorched earth policy when it came
to most of the above, sure we have great football stadiums, motor racing
circuits, sports stadiums, and casinos and gambling houses but try to get am
ambulance or get an ambulance to find a hospital bed for you thats another
story.

The sell off of the SEC has resulted in regular power cuts due to
breakdowns, (Powercorp) in Dimboola, we had a power failure every 2 or 3
weeks in the first half of last year, some of them lasting hours. I guess we
could go on forever over the pros and cons of privatisation but in my
experience of the power industry as a customer I'm not impressed, we will
have to see how rail pans out.

No matter how you look at it, more than 50% of Victorians are celebrating
the fall of Jeffrey Kennett, after a few inquiries and a Royal Commission or
two we might have more to celebrate.
