This up home was a two position bracket post until 15 Nov 1965 when the
existing 3 pos home replaced it. Until 25 January 1978 Camp Road was a
level crossing latterly with auto booms but it had been hand gates until 7
December 1961 and then manual booms until 6 October 1966. It costs money
to remove signals and thus has remained as the signal protecting the
junction but it probably also helps with the headway, albeit only
slightly, on the Essendon line.

Probably right because they appear to be too short to be of any use for
subn train stabling and a reversal is necessary then to get in and out of
it. Better to extend the sidings at the other end.

DEL (waiting also for any move at http://www.bigfoot.com/~notagunzel)
but practically given up all hope.
