The Overland came through Murray Bridge at about 19:30 on Saturday much
to my surprise. I had just walked up from the bridge and along the
street overlooking the railway on my way to the Town Hall when the
signal lights which had been dark when I went down to the river 10
minutes before showed yellow over red and a light could been seen in the
tunnel.

Out came BL27 and a DL, presumably picked up at Tailem Bend with The
Overland. The only sign of life on board was the on-train crew in the
club car.

Friday night at 22:45 or thereabouts saw a cross between the Patrick's
train, led by a GM and a couple of CLPs, and an up ASR grain train with
the usual miscellany of locos in charge.

There had been a number of other trains through Murray Bridge Friday
night. Where did they all end up? They would have had to have been
left at the various loops on the Adelaide side of Geelong.

(I can't say what the trains were since I was in the Town Hall at the
Hills Drama Festival so magnificently won by the extremely talented
Blackwood Players who won "Best Play", "Best Male Actor", "Best Female
Actor" and one of the 3 Awards of Merit. 5 weeks of work amply
rewarded.)
