Re: (VIC) Derailment @ Elders



Derailments will occur just like they did in the past,
at least in these days with *all* bogie stock and
concrete continuous welded track, well ..in the better
parts of Australia, both pioneered by CR/ANR/AN, they
are dramatically reduced.

Yeah, bit like when ANR started pushing *real* trains
over the border to the Vics way back in the early
seventies (W.A.Webb would have been pleased), they
could not handle them, because the Victorian system was
designed and maintained on the best 19th century
British passenger rail systems.

AN have gone from the railway scene, so I guess the
privates will take the brunt now. :)
