Well, since the GSR has yet to make a profit, it seems to me that the
workers of GSR are the one's being subsidised by the shareholders at
the moment. Perhaps it'll be better if the Ghan, Overlan, etc, don't
exist?

If it can't make a profit, they'll close it down after seven (?)
years. If the government takes over, it'll be cheaper to use buses.
The railways of this country do not exist for the sole benefit of it's
employees.

You might as well all go on the dole  'cause it'll be cheaper.
