Vivendi

I heard on the ABC (3LO) a couple of days ago, that News Limited (Rupert
Murdoch) was making a takeover bid for Vivendi.

Vivendi besides being a multi national company that has large investments in
the media industry is also the owner of CGEA Transportation, who in turn are
the owners of Hillside Trains.

If Murdoch does succeed in taking over Vivendi, would he be interested in
keeping lower profit sections like Public Transport??? or would it be sold
off???

If so wouldn't that have some impact on the franchise for Hillside Trains,
maybe the Victorian Labor Government could buy the Franchise?? That would be
an interesting turn up for the books!!!!
