Re: Freight Victoria..POWER??



If the experience of Tranz Rail New Zealand, Tasrail and the operators of
regional lines in the USA are anything to go on they'll be looking for
reconditioned power in the 2,200 to 3,300HP range.  These companies can't
afford the high capital costs of new power but in saying that look at EW&S
in the UK which bought 250 x 3,000 HP brand new GM's from the US!!!
