Steam Hauled 'U Boat' Cars

The Richmond Vale Railway Museum used 3 of its ex City Rail 1955 Stainless
Steel single deck interurban carriages for the first time this weekend for its
annual model railway exhibition. The cars used were TF6001, TF6002 & ETB6026.

TF6001 & 6002 were used on Saturday coupled to SMR No.25 and UHG34098 on the
train to Pelaw Main. ETB6026 was used behind Marjorie on the Mulbring Road
branch. Both trains ran well and recieved favorable comments. The Sunday was
much busier and ETB6026 was added to the other 2 cars & van, infact for several
runs all 3 cars were packed. Marjorie ran Sunday coupled to HLF460 instead.

It is hopped to return at least another 2 of these cars to service as an extra
car on Sunday would not have gone astray. The main work required is removing
the grafitti from the exterior, the interiors are in good condition.

Regards
Jeff Mullier
