No doubt the SRA will aim to get people off the road & on public transport
on New Year's Eve.
What happens if the power goes off? Even if it's relatively localised, it
could stop a substantial part of the network.
Will there be diesals on standby as part of a contingency plan? How many
spare diesals are there, anyway?
The likelihood of steam being called in may be remote, but it is fun to
imagine!
