Re: 3801 hauls Tangara

Many years ago the power was off on city circle and Illawarra late one night
and I caught a CPH from Wynyard to Kogarah. Great fun for all concerned.
Maybe the enthusiast railmotor "fleet" will come to the rescue.

Also one ARHS trip from Lithgow with 6 cars and 71000 aka Green Beetle (even
though by then it was in Tuscan) did terrible things to protection circuits
trying to clear Ratholes ... Bell section in full parallel weak field or
something, lotsa sparks. Rescued by 46 class. 46+Green Beetle + 6 cars, now
very late, arrived Homebush in time for overhead switch off. Rescued by 44
class. Somehere I have photo of triple-header + 6 cars at Central.

Power is one thing, computerised signalling another. What about Y2K
compliance of Sydney area signalling and telecomms? 3801+Tangara + pilotman
working, at Circular Quay?

The more I think about it, the more I'm likely to stay in bed on 01/01/00.
