The Peanut, referring to the Ararat to Horsham,Dimboola pass. must be a railfan
term. When I fired out of Ararat I would refer to the pass. as the Peanut. The
Ararat drivers only knew of the Dimboola to Servi railmotor as the peanut, the
peanut never referred to the pass.

I think some early fans got this mixed up and now it gets perpetuated by
railfans.
