David could well be right.  IMHO pilot working on both lines (with two
pilotmen) is not prohibited by rules, just by the attitude of the
safeworking manager.

Of course, if the rest of the system had a better service than one train
every 40 min, a delay on the Sandringham line would be less critical, as it
would be in isolation.  The problem with travelling on Melbourne's Met is
anything which involves more than one sector.
