: One of the oddest features of the Hillside/Bayside split is that
: Hillside got Flemington Racecourse & the Showgrounds.

: Which are reached via the Broadmeadows line, a line that no other 
: Hillside train ever traverses.

The main reason that Hillside got the line was during they day they keep 
5 trains out there.  These are Direct Alamein, Box Hill and Blackburn trains.

Just a side effect of Jolimont yards going.
