June 4th Observations

Z3-190 was running a 48 (North Balwyn) service west towards Spencer Street
with the destination 'City-Spencer Street' at 6.30pm this evening.

Also, whilst waiting on platform 4 for a train, the driver off the train
which formed the 18.33 Broadmeadows was unsuccessfully trying to lock the
rear door when he dropped his keys in the pit. The second the train started
to depart (about 8 minutes late), he jumped in the pit, retrieved his keys
and jumped back up again. My question is, the practicality of what he did
notwithstanding, isn't there some sort of OHS edict saying staff aren't
meant to be in the pit at Flinders Street ? What are they supposed to do in
this situation if this sort of thing happens if they aren't meant to be in
the pit?

More out of interest than anything else.
