Which is why the drivers should stick to what they do best - driving trains and leave
the boom failures to the fitters.

That is rubbish, when you lift up one boom arm, the bells and lights will remain
operating and if you lift up both boom arms and latch them up out of the way, the
lights and bells will remain operating until they are switched off by pulling the
fuses. Have you noticed that before the boom descend in normal operation, the lights
and bells are operating.
