I believe Cityrail are going to use a 620 class set ex Newcastle as a shuttle between Lithgow and Bathurst connecting with intercity electrics. This service will commence as soon as a 620 can be released. The plan has been delayed following a railcar having an unforntunate encounter with the buffer stops at Newcastle.
