Asthma rates have increased as air quality has improved, something the
enviros never mention. The problem is most likely modern energy efficient
buildings that do not have proper ventilation. These buildings were
constructed to comply with mandates on energy usage encouraged by these
same enviros. Note also how airlines now recirculate the same air over
and over since smoking has been banned. It used to be that airplanes
had to take in a lot of outside air to handle the cigarette smoke. Now
they don't have to and it saves them lots of fuel (another enviro practice)
to keep reusing the same dirty air.
