But it was part of Burley Griffin's design that Canberra should have them.

Christchurch and Bendigo never had W2s in regular service. Neither did
Seattle or a host of other places.

Loftus never had trams.

Gungahlin is still on the drawing board for light rail. The Federation
Tramway has been designed to be compatable with this.

Anyway, if Canberra wants to build a tourist attraction, why argue with
them? It would not come from the same funding source as commuter light
rail.

Just because it wasn't done doesn't mean it can't be done. Burley Griffin
designed it, so why shouldn't it be built?
