Looks like the olympic committee thought along similar lines. Let's hope
that after the olympics, cars continue to be kept out of the CBD.

Seriously, imagine if George St was a two lane road for busses only,
down the middle of the current four/six laner, and the rest was a
park... just to make an extremely simplistic example.

If King St had no cars on it... and was paved.

If Hyde Park was extended out, to engulf Elizabeth Street...

Obviously it's not all possible... you still need access routes... but I
am seriously hoping that if the car ban from the CBD is kept up for a
while, people will realise that the alternative is much better.
