In fact over 90% of people in this situation accept it and travel anyway -
the exceptions often book on another day. The only time it is a major
problem is if children are involved - when you can not sit the apart from
their guardians.

When passengers booked in separate seats board the train, they often end up
arranging with other pax an alteration in the seating.
