What do you mean failsafe!.....IMHO the Driver is in control of the brake at the
front of the train, and that is the danger spot. If he passes a signal, the trip
needs to stop the train immediately.
Or are you saying that he might go mad and start powering backwards????
Lowering a trip at a non driving end is not very practical, as the risk of damage,
striking fouling equipment, or the cost of lowering all the opposite trips etc. etc.
