Re: Boronia Rail Crossing

The work at Boronia was ment to finish this morning, however the overhead
people were going too slow to finish on time (they are from N.S.W.)

John Holand would have been fined $10,000 a minute for being late, but since
all their work was done and the electrical part is contracted from the Met
they (John Holand) only have to pay for the buses. (about $60,000)

They are hoping to run a test train this afternoon or tonight, and trains
will hopfully run tomorrow.

It is a bit of a pitty that all the 400 or so people on construction worked
really hard to finish on time and it was let down by a handful of lazy
overhead people, even today they were (the overhead people) standing around
not putting up the overhead and doing work.

They (the overhead people) don't pay a fine for being late because of the
union, but I thing they should pay $10,000 per minute for the 24 hrs delay.
