My understanding of this is that if you have a regular mate then you are more
likley to come up with a "regular" or maybe irregular arrangement between each
other. Example: I know my regular mate won't dob me in if I want to have a sleep
while he drives or vice versa. In the case of the Berro accident the crew had been
a regular pairing for five years. If you change the pairing around then you don't
get to know someone well enough to expect favours I suppose.
