What's Different about the Met?

Metcard is Here!

Commencing next week, your new Metcard Austomated Ticketing system will be
in use from the following dates at the stations listed below:
[its not my system]

13th January Croydon, Ringwood East
14th January Heathmont, Ringwood
15th January Heatherdale, Mitcham, Nunawading
16th January Blackburn, Laburnum, Box Hill

Metcards will bring the Met in line with the world's most advanced public
transport services. [name them] You'll be able to travel across different
fare zones and different modes of transport (bus, rail and tram) easily and
more quickly.
[so how is that different to before Metcard?]

While Metcards are being introduced, you can still use them if you're
travelling into a non-metcard area, as long as they have been validated.
[what about if you have a pre-purchased unvalidated metcard, and you want
to start your journey from a non-metcard equipped station - you can't
validate it]
